Softball Recap: Lincoln Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lincoln entered their tilt with Otterville on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Molly Strozewski made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katy Cook, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abigail Eckhoff, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Lincoln's record now sits at 15-3. As for Otterville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Lincoln has already played their next matchup (against Green Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Otterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
