Lumberton has gone a perfect 5-0 against Richton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. This will be Lumberton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Lumberton is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Perry Central on Friday. The Panthers snuck past the Bulldogs with a 26-20 victory.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Richton and Resurrection Catholic, and Richton kept the tradition alive. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Eagles on Friday.

Richton's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lumberton, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Lumberton beat Richton 20-13 in their previous meeting back in September of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
