The Quapaw Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Commerce Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, Quapaw was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Welch. Quapaw has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Commerce's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-44 loss at the hands of Ketchum. While losing is never fun, Commerce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Ketchum is ranked 90th).
Quapaw's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Commerce, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Quapaw strolled past Commerce in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 69-55. Will Quapaw repeat their success, or does Commerce have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
