Fayette has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the New Franklin Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Fayette has not done well against Marceline recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fayette blew past Marceline 57-35.
Fayette found their leader in underclassman Browyn Eubanks, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Gibbs, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, New Franklin made easy work of Harrisburg on Saturday and carried off a 52-26 win.
The losses dropped Fayette to 2-1 and Marceline to 0-2.
Fayette came up short against New Franklin in their previous meeting on Tuesday, falling 54-49. Can Fayette avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
