Arrowhead Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Savanna as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.
Gaby Rios tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Arrowhead Christian got a massive performance out of Leila Mouri, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits Mouri has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Dabbs, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Aquinas had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Knights.
Katie Coldiron made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
In other batting news, Zoey Galindo and Savanna Estrada did most of the damage at the plate: Galindo went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Estrada went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Galindo has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.
Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Arrowhead Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arrowhead Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Aquinas struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
