St. John had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Central Plains Oilers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory two weeks ago.

Central Plains' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Audrey Mostyn, who had eight digs and one assist, and Taylin Davis, who had nine assists and three digs. That assist marked the first that Mostyn has posted this season.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Central Plains, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.

St. John wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Victoria on the 11th. As for Central Plains, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Macksville on the 11th.
