Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Wallace County Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a rough 36-16 defeat at the hands of Dighton on Friday. Wallace County's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Dighton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Cramer out in front who threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ryland Price and his 109 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Dighton's win.
Wallace County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Dighton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Wallace County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dighton is on the road again on Friday and play against Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Victoria is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
