The Pike County Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 67-37 defeat at the hands of Salem.
When it comes to explaining why Pike County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tyson Trawick. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. Yadiel Rosado was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Pike County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Salem, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pike County will face off against Mary Persons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mary Persons is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Salem won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hephzibah at 7:15 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Hephzibah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Friday.
