After a string of six wins, the Cypress Falls Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of St. Michael's by a score of 55-53. While losing is never fun, Cypress Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while St. Michael's is ranked sixth).
Leading St. Michael's to victory were Aiden Disu and Bo Ogden. Disu scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while Ogden scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds. The contest was Ogden's ninth in a row with at least ten points.
Cypress Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for St. Michael's, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Cypress Falls is on the road again on Saturday and play against Rockwall at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd. As for St. Michael's, they will face off against Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
