Logan County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Edmonson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cougars will head out to challenge the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. The last six games Logan County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Logan County's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Barren County 2-0.

The result came thanks to Landon Gregory's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Logan County's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tate McLean, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Edmonson County came out on top against Butler County on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Bears. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

Hunter Wilson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Garrett Lyons, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Logan County pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Edmonson County, their record is now 8-12-1.

Logan County was able to grind out a solid win over Edmonson County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
