Baseball Recap: Coleman Wins Going Away Against Wausaukee

Coleman lost to Wausaukee back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Rangers 14-5. Considering the Cougars have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Berth made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. Berth was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Pusick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brady Dufeck, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

The win made it two in a row for Coleman and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Wausaukee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
