The Howell Vikings had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They breezed by Vianney at home to the tune of 76-47. The result was nothing new for Howell, who have now won five games by 27 points or more so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Vianney lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Deen. Despite the final result, he threw for 409 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Cullen, who picked up 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Howell's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.33 points. As for Vianney, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Howell will face off against Lafayette at TBD on Friday. Lafayette will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Vianney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
