Melba has gone 8-2 against Parma recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Melba is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Melba is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Vision on Monday as they made off with a 21-5 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with Vision recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Brooks, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. CJ Husted also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Melba always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vision only posted an OBP of .462.
Meanwhile, Parma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of New Plymouth. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.
Samuel Hultman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Hunter Mitchell was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Parma's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Melba, their record now sits at 7-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Melba has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Parma struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Melba came up short against Parma when the teams last played back in April of 2023, falling 8-5. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
