Paxton has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Walton Braves at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Paxton can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Laurel Hill as Paxton made off with a 61-35 victory. Given Paxton's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Laurel Hill is ranked 503rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sawyer Adams and Ryker Stokes were among the main playmakers for Paxton as the former dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stokes has scored all season. Gavin Rhodes was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Walton unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chipley.
Paxton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.
Paxton came up short against Walton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 42-32. Thankfully for Paxton, Gaige Adams (who scored 18 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
