Softball Recap: Staunton Has No Trouble Against North Mac

While Staunton put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for North Mac. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Panthers. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Reynolds, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lilly Bandy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Reynolds wasn't the only one making solid contact: Staunton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Mac only managed three hits.

Staunton's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for North Mac, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Staunton is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1.5, the Comets 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Mac will take on rival Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
