McCallum is 8-2 against Navarro since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McCallum Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Navarro Vikings at 8:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McCallum comes in on six and Navarro on four.
McCallum posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat LBJ Austin 61-7 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
McCallum's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emy Chen led the charge by scoring 14 points along with three steals. Chen hasn't dropped below two steals for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Shreves, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Navarro didn't have too much trouble with Richards School for Young Women Leaders at home on Tuesday as they won 50-32.
McCallum pushed their record up to 18-9 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Navarro, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
McCallum strolled past Navarro when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 46-29. Will McCallum repeat their success, or does Navarro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
