Even though the Tom Bean Tomcats have not done well against the Wolfe City Wolves recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Tom Bean came out on top against Wolfe City by a score of 43-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tom Bean.
Branson Ashlock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maguire Poole, who scored six points along with two steals.
Wolfe City's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jarrett Tisdale, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, and Noah Adams who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisdale has scored all season.
Tom Bean has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Wolfe City, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.
Tom Bean will be playing at home against Honey Grove at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Honey Grove presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tom Bean in Texas (Honey Grove is ranked 367th, while Tom Bean is ranked 782nd). As for Wolfe City, they will head out on the road to challenge Trenton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Trenton is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
