Horizon had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Desert Mountain Wolves. With that victory, the Huskies brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Horizon got a great performance from Connor McDonald as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Chris Quigg was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jackson Weber, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Horizon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Desert Mountain, they moved to 12-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
