The New Bloomfield Wildcats lost against the Stover Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. New Bloomfield took a hard 65-47 fall against Stover. While losing is never fun, New Bloomfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Stover is ranked 142nd).
Despite the defeat, New Bloomfield saw an underclassman step up: Wyatt Jordan scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Fuhriman, who scored 12 points.
New Bloomfield has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Stover, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
New Bloomfield will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Sturgeon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stover will finish 2023 at home by hosting Green Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
