The Baldwin Highlanders will square off against the Albert Gallatin Colonials at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Baldwin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Baldwin barely beat Bethel Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Highlanders put the hurt on the Black Hawks with a sharp 12-1 victory on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

Camryn Temme and Melina Defelice were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Temme tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Defelice didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. At bat, Temme went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Defelice went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabriella Jaquay, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryley Shaw, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Baldwin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Albert Gallatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Connellsville, falling 23-2.
Baldwin's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Albert Gallatin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Everything went Baldwin's way against Albert Gallatin when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Baldwin made off with a 17-0 win. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Colonials have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
