North Summit is 9-1 against Duchesne since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Braves will square off against the Eagles at 9:10 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North Summit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Maeser Prep Academy 59-23. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Ellie Stephens had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 51 times she's played. Kate Smith was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.
North Summit was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maeser Prep Academy only racked up seven.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Duchesne faced off against Waterford on Saturday. The Eagles took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-19 win over the Ravens. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Ravens are ranked 106th).
North Summit better keep an eye on Kira Grant. She was instrumental in Duchesne's win, going 8-for-20 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Grant has scored at least a third of the Eagles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Robinson, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
North Summit's record now sits at 18-6. As for Duchesne, their record is now 19-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Summit has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Duchesne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Summit strolled past Duchesne in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 64-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
