Henry Summerlin Turns in Season-Best Effort
Henry Summerlin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading St. Edmund to the win on Friday. Summerlin rushed for 250 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
The victory for St. Edmund keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Summerlin and St. Edmund will square off against Berchmans Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jewell Posts Huge Game in 42-34 Win
Parker Jewell's big game helped extend Catholic of Pointe Coupee's winning streak to five on Friday. Livonia had no answer to Jewell as he rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns.
Catholic of Pointe Coupee pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Jewell and Catholic of Pointe Coupee will be playing in front of their home fans against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Myka Nipple Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Myka Nipple posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (119.3). He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Nipple might just drop another big game when he faces off against North Central on Friday. Nipple rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries the last time he and the Hurricanes duked it out back in October of 2023.

Kane West Makes It Two for St. Edmund
The second St. Edmund player making an appearance here is Kane West, and for good reason. He rushed for 63 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 104 yards and a touchdown.
For the year, West has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 163.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had four passing touchdowns.

A Season-Best Performance from Wyatt Dubois Leads St. Edmund over Opelousas Catholic
On Friday, St. Edmund got the W thanks in part to Wyatt Dubois playing the best football he has all season. Dubois forced two fumbles, made ten total tackles (0.5 for loss), and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
On the year, Dubois has averaged 6.4 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.
