Edison is 8-2 against Jefferson since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Edison got the win against Lanier by a conclusive 13-1. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Voks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Eddi Nunez, who went 3-for-4 with seven stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Edison's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-9-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ezrah Acosta-Torres, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Edison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Jefferson gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Brackenridge.
Jefferson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Benavidez, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Edison's record is now 6-9-1. As for Jefferson, their record now sits at 10-8-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Edison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .463. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've averaged .528. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Edison was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 9-5. Will the Golden Bears repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
