Given New Manna Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Abundant Life Christian Academy is ranked 508th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
New Manna Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alec Breneman, who scored 18 points. Micah Wagner was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
New Manna Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Abundant Life Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
New Manna Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on N.C. School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th. Abundant Life Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Tabernacle Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 5th.
