For Victory Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 55-23 defeat St. Petersburg Catholic walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Bianca Barroso continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with nine steals and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Victory Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gomez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why St. Petersburg Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elise Graham. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. The game was Graham's third in a row with at least ten points. Kate Miller was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Victory Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will square off against Lake Placid at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Petersburg Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakewood at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Lakewood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 311 points over their last four contests.
