It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Marionville Comets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Panthers, posting a 29-0 win on the road. Considering Marionville has won 12 games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Marionville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cash Pomeroy, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Pomeroy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Hugh Eaton also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The victory for Marionville keeps them at an undefeated 14-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.29 points. As for North Platte, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
