For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Turner and Big Foot have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Chiefs. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Maddy Hoenig was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Emma Bue was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Turner always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Turner's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Union Grove, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
