Meanwhile, Sahuarita's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rio Rico.
The losing side was boosted by Alejandro Vega, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Myhre, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Walden Grove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Sahuarita, they bumped their record down to 6-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
