Manatee kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Out-of-Door Academy by a score of 3-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
Manatee also got a good showing from Malachi Cleto, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Manatee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Richardson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
