The Polson Pirates won the last time they faced the Ronan Chiefs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Polson slipped by Ronan 37-36.
Polson found their leader in underclassman Rylee Taylor-jefferson, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Taylor-jefferson hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahrianna Rushing, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Polson's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ronan, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
Polson will face off against Whitefish at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Whitefish is ranked 95th, while Polson is ranked 93rd). Ronan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
