Southeast is on a three-game streak of home losses, Northeast a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Southeast Knights will take on the Northeast Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Southeast had to suffer through a rough 96-19 loss at the hands of Central. While losing is never fun, Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Central is ranked 108th).
Meanwhile, Northeast was beaten by Central 87-21 last Tuesday. Northeast has struggled against Central recently, as their game last Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything came up roses for Southeast against Northeast in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 80-38 victory. With Southeast ahead 51-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
