In what's become a running theme this season, the Unity Christian Academy Phoenix gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Steel City Academy 57-20 at home. The win was familiar territory for Unity Christian Academy who now have three in a row.
Unity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Johns led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Johns hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Aiden Robinson, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Unity Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Steel City Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Morgan Park Academy has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Steel City Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
