The Pembroke Titans will square off against the Hingham Harbormen at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Pembroke will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Pembroke hadn't beaten Plymouth South on the road since May 25, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Panthers since May 17, 2019.
Meanwhile, Hingham never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Silver Lake Regional as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Harbormen, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Hingham got a great performance from Henry Healey as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Healey also allowed no hits, which is notable because the Harbormen are undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 6-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Hingham let Colin Garrity and Colman Donohue run wild. Garrity went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Donohue went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Donohue has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Will Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Hingham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win got Pembroke back to even at 6-6. As for Hingham, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Pembroke skirted past Hingham 3-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Harbormen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
