Basketball Recap: Escondido Charter Piles Up the Points Against San Diego Jewish Academy

There's no place like home for Escondido Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions 72-42. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 30 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Escondido Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Mowrey, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. That's the most boards Mowrey has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Joe Scates, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Escondido Charter's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escondido Charter will challenge Pacific Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pacific Ridge will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Escondido Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, they will head out to challenge High Tech SD at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. San Diego Jewish Academy is facing High Tech SD at the right time seeing as High Tech SD is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
