Chandler Lawson scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Saturday as the Mustangs beat Southwind (Memphis) 65-45 for the Class AAA state title. With four of five starters and several key reserves back in 2017-18, East will be a strong candidate for preseason national No. 1.
3. (3) Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia), 29-2On the same day his future college team Rhode Island was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament,
Daron Russell scored 24 points Sunday to lead Imhotep to a 70-51 win over Audenreid in the Class 4A quarterfinals.

(4) Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.), 30-2Another big fourth quarter performance propelled the Knights past No. 8 Mater Dei 60-53 on Saturday in California's Open Division southern regional final. In two playoff wins over the Monarchs, Bishop Montgomery owned a 59-28 advantage in the final stanza. Head coach Doug Mitchell's squad has four postseason wins over teams that were ranked in the Top 10 nationally at the time of the meeting. Up next is No. 25 Woodcreek on Saturday in the state championship game.
5. (5) Jonesboro (Ark.), 32-0AHSAA Class 6A state champions. Season complete.
6. (8) Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.), 28-4Kentucky-bound big man
Nick Richards dominated Sunday in the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions semifinals, going for 26 points and 11 boards as the Celtics beat Teaneck 64-45. Quick turnaround as Patrick School meets newly-ranked Don Bosco Prep on Monday night in the final.
7. (9) Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.), 32-5Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champions. DCSAA champions. Alhambra Catholic Invitational champions. Season complete.
8. (6) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 33-3Despite a glossy record, Mater Dei's season ended in disappointment with two playoff losses to No. 4 Bishop Montgomery. But 2017-18 looks promising for the Monarchs with the return of juniors

13. (18) Webster Groves (Mo.), 29-2What an exclamation mark for the Statesmen, who blew out Lee's Summit West 70-35 in Missouri's Class 5 state championship game Saturday. Webster Groves won 23 in a row to end the season, beating Illinois 3A champ Morgan Park (Chicago) and Iowa 4A champ Iowa City West along the way.
14. (14) Shadow Mountain (Phoenix), 27-0AIA Class 4A state champions. Will participate in Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals later this month.
15. (15) Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, Ohio), 27-0A 38-32 win over La Salle (Cincinnati) on Friday night propelled the Crusaders into the Division I semifinals next weekend at Ohio State's Jerome Schottenstein Center.
16. (16) Champlin Park (Champlin, Minn.), 29-0The Rebels remained unbeaten heading into next week's Class AAAA state tournament thanks to a 79-74 section final win over Osseo on Friday night.
17. (20) Cypress Falls (Houston), 35-3UIL Class 6A state champions. Season complete.
18. (23) Basha (Chandler, Ariz.), 31-1AIA Class 6A state champions. Season complete.
19. (23) Grand Rapids Christian (Grand Rapids, Mich.), 25-0Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo) took the Eagles to overtime but came up short back on March 2. The two teams meet again Tuesday in the Class A quarterfinals.
20. (7) Chino Hills (Calif.), 30-3The Huskies won their first 25 games of the season and climbed as high as No. 3 in the rankings before stumbling to a 5-3 finish. All three losses came to nationally-ranked opponents, including an 87-80 playoff eliminator Tuesday against No. 4 Bishop Montgomery.

(NR) Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), 30-1Junior forward Marcellus Earlington – a 250-pound football recruit with ACC, Big Ten and SEC offers – scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds Sunday in Bosco's 65-58 win over then-No. 19 Linden. The Ironmen advance to face No. 6 Patrick School for the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions title Monday night.
