Soccer Recap: Holmes Has No Trouble Against Northeastern

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manteo, Holmes was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Northeastern Eagles. Considering Holmes have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kate Foster and Emma Parrish scored all five of Holmes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 55 goals.

Holmes has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for Northeastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8-1.

Coming up, Holmes will venture away from home to take on Lawrence Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeastern, they will host Cape Hatteras at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeastern are facing Cape Hatteras at the right time seeing as Cape Hatteras are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
