Springport has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Hillsdale Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Springport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
Even though Springport has not done well against Vandercook Lake recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Springport came out on top against Vandercook Lake by a score of 46-39.
Springport can attribute much of their success to Braydon Hawes, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 9 assists, and 9 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hawes has scored at least 25% of Springport's points. Jake Kregel was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale beat Jonesville 50-40 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hillsdale.
Springport now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hillsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Springport took a serious blow against Hillsdale in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-22. Can Springport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
