Research Triangle has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the East Wake Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Cade Wiggins and Greyson Landphere.
On Wednesday, Research Triangle came up short against NCSSM: Durham and fell 52-40. Research Triangle has not had much luck with NCSSM: Durham recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Research Triangle had strong showings from Wiggins, who scored 16 points, and Omar WIley, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, East Wake Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Raleigh Charter on Tuesday, taking the game 55-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for East Wake Academy.
Research Triangle's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for East Wake Academy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Research Triangle came up short against East Wake Academy when the teams last played on Saturday, falling 62-53. Can Research Triangle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
