East Lyme scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Montville 74-33 on the road. That 74-33 margin sets a new team best for East Lyme this season.
Oliver Hibbard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with two. Jaylen Hannans was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Grasso Tech at home against Bolton on Wednesday as the squad secured a 76-28 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-15.
Nick Stavesky and Charis Johnson were among the main playmakers for Grasso Tech as the former scored 20 points along with six assists and five steals and the latter scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stavesky has scored at least 25% of Grasso Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Santiago, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
East Lyme's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grasso Tech, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: East Lyme have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 53% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Grasso Tech struggles in that department as they've drained 45.3% of their threes per game this season.
