The Miami East Vikings put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 53-14 victory over Bethel. Miami East has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.
Miami East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckayah Musselman, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Francis, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals.
Miami East's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0. As for Bethel, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami East will square off against the Buccs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Vikings are ranked 32nd). Bethel is on the road again on Monday and plays the Railroaders at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
