Waccamaw suffered a rough 59-37 loss at the hands of St. James on Friday. Waccamaw has not had much luck with St. James recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Waccamaw had strong showings from Dutch Kerns, who scored 11 points, and Tyrese Haynes, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Waccamaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for St. James, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waccamaw will take on Socastee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. James, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Florence at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday. West Florence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 145th, while St. James is ranked 34th).
