The Harding Skippers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maplewood 93-53 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Harding has managed all season.
Harding's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Gadomski, who shot 6-for-10 from long range and almost dropped a triple-double on 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Gadomski has scored at least 25% of Harding's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Parsons, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Harding pushed their record up to 3-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Maplewood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Harding will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Conneaut at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Maplewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pymatuning Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Maplewood likes a good challenge.
