The Churchill Bulldogs were the 56-41 winner over the Walter Johnson Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Churchill had to suffer through a rough 67-36 loss at the hands of Walter Johnson. Churchill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Walter Johnson was led to victory by Kendall Alexander and Mira Mann. Alexander scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Mann scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mann has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Norah Youssef, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Churchill's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Walter Johnson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churchill will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wootton at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Walter Johnson, they will be playing at home against Paint Branch at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
