The Westhope/Newburg Sioux's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The contest between Westhope/Newburg and Garrison wasn't particularly close, with Westhope/Newburg falling 62-46.
Despite the loss, Westhope/Newburg still got an impressive performance from Kimberly Tabarez, who scored 22 points along with nine steals. Tabarez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ashley Tabarez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Westhope/Newburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Garrison, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
Westhope/Newburg will take on Parshall at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Parshall is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Garrison, they will head out on the road to challenge Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Garrison likes a good challenge.
