The Cartersville Hurricanes were the 49-41 winner over the Dalton Catamounts when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Cartersville lost to the Catamounts at home by a decisive 66-51 margin on Tuesday.
Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reed Ezell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Baldwin, who scored 12 points.
Dalton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from CJ Weaver, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Weaver has scored all season. Drew Snyder was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cartersville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Dalton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-12.
Cartersville has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Woodland is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. Dalton's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
