The Haltom Buffalos will head out on the road to take on the Bowie Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Haltom focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
Haltom entered their tilt with the Warriors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Haltom walked away with a 54-46 win over the Warriors.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Haltom to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashton Moore, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kuol Atak, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Grand Prairie scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Bowie still came out on top. Bowie took down the Gophers 73-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bowie.
Haltom pushed their record up to 20-8 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Bowie, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
Haltom took their win against the Volunteers in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 84-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haltom since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
