The Apex Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Apex Friendship Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apex knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Apex Friendship likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Apex got the win against Panther Creek by a conclusive 13-2. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.
Audrey Mulaski spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

Apex is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Apex's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. The Cougars have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Apex Friendship, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Apex continue to outrun the ball?
