The Fellowship Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Fellowship Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Baker, who scored 12 points along with six blocks. Those six blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Harper Clark was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Fellowship Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fellowship Academy will take on Lubbock Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 back in December of 2023.
