Freeport is 0-10 against Harlem since May of 2019 but things could change  on Friday. The Pretzels will face off against the Huskies at 5:00  p.m.
On Thursday, Freeport didn't have quite enough to beat Belvidere and fell  6-5. The Pretzels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Quinn Krzeminiski was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  double.  Hannah Stott was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Harlem made easy work of Rockford Auburn  on Monday and carried off  a  12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 12 contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Rylie Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Adams was also solid in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Maddy Merschman and  Adriah Sholl did most of the damage at the plate:  Merschman  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Sholl  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Merschman has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Aubrey Burbach, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Harlem was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .405. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockford Auburn only posted a  batting average of  .259.
 Harlem has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 7-22.
 Freeport might still be hurting after the  10-1 defeat they got from Harlem  when the teams last played  on May 6th. Can the Pretzels avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
