Caroline hasn't had much luck against King George recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cavaliers will head out on the road to challenge the Foxes at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Caroline 1.7, King George 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Caroline is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Spotsylvania on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Jaidyn Tingen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Nya Howard was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, King George came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Cyclones. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Foxes have posted since April 10th.
The result came thanks to Kelsea Minter's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks.
King George's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Caroline, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Caroline's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Cavaliers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for King George, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Caroline continue to outrun the ball?
Caroline came out on top in a nail-biter against King George when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
